Job summary

Boughey Distribution is seeking a Returns Warehouse Operative to join the Wardle site on a permanent basis, Monday to Friday, 2pm–10pm. You will manage end-to-end processing of customer returns and reintegrate stock into inventory.

The role combines hands-on warehouse work with occasional admin tasks in a fast-paced environment and requires counterbalance forklift certification. Benefits include weekly pay, enhanced overtime, and generous holiday allowance.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift certification and experience operating a forklift.
• Comfortable on your feet in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move returned goods back into stock.
• Inspect, sort and process incoming returns and determine next steps.
• Log returns in warehouse systems to maintain inventory records.
• Load and unload trailers safely to support operations.
• Perform light administrative tasks and manage email as needed.
• Follow health and safety policy and ensure welfare of self and others.

Job description

We are looking for a Returns Warehouse Operative who is counterbalance forklift certified to join our team based out of the Wardle site on a permanent basis working Monday to Friday hours.

You will manage the end-to-end handling of customer returns, ensuring efficient processing, accurate documentation, and seamless integration back into our inventory. The position combines hands-on warehouse operations with occasional administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Day to Day

• - Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely collect and transport returned goods from designated areas back into stock in the warehouse.
• - Inspect, sort and process incoming returns; assessing condition and determining appropriate next steps ie goods in, repair or disposal.
• - Accurately log all returns in warehouse systems to maintain precise inventory records and compliance.
• - Load and unload trailers safely and effectively to support smooth supply chain operations and minimise downtime.
• - Perform computer-based tasks including updating records, managing email inbox and providing general administrative support as and when required.
• - Perform small amounts of handballing as and when required.
• - Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of yourself and others.
