Job summary

Boughey Distribution seeks a Returns Warehouse Operative at the Wardle site to manage the end-to-end handling of customer returns in a fast-paced environment. The role combines hands-on warehouse work with occasional administrative tasks, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm, with onsite parking and a strong focus on safety.

The successful candidate will operate a counterbalance forklift, log returns, support stock integrity, and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth inbound processing.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move returned goods back into stock.

• Load and unload trailers safely to support operations.
• Perform computer-based tasks and general admin tasks as required.
• Assist with light handballing as needed.
• Follow Health & Safety policy and take responsibility for safety.

We are looking for a Returns Warehouse Operative who is counterbalance forklift certifiedto join our team based out of the Wardle site on a permanent basis working Monday to Friday hours.

Youwill manage the end-to-end handling of customer returns, ensuring efficient processing,accuratedocumentation, and seamless integration back into our inventory. The position combines hands-on warehouse operations with occasional administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Day to Day

• Operate a counterbalance forklift to safely collect and transport returned goods from designated areas back into stock in the warehouse.
• Inspect, sort and process incoming returns; assessing condition and determining appropriate next steps ie goods in, repair or disposal.
• Accurately log all returns in warehouse systems to maintain precise inventory records and compliance.
• Load and unload trailers safely and effectively to support smooth supply chain operations and minimise downtime.
• Perform computer-based tasks including updating records, managing email inbox and providing general administrative support as and when required.
• Performsmall amounts of handballing as and when required.
• Be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of yourself and others.

• Previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift truck is essential
