Job summary

Matalan is seeking a Team Manager to be a key role model, coaching and motivating a high-performing store team and running the store in the Manager's absence. You will translate customer feedback into a great shopping experience and drive sales through strong leadership and VM expertise.

The role involves opening/closing the store, implementing seasonal layouts, and continuously developing the team to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in Fashion or Homeware Retail.
• Confident communicator who can engage and motivate others.
• Able to provide examples of leadership experience.
• Good understanding of Visual Merchandising (VM).
• Proven ability to identify sales opportunities and drive new ideas.
• Strong knowledge of operational processes and cost awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales targets and explore sales opportunities.
• Be a role model of outstanding customer service and uphold Matalan values.
• Lead the implementation of seasonal layouts and visual guidelines across the store.
• Open and close the store.
• Upskill team members and give regular feedback to improve performance.
