Job summary

Matalan is seeking a Team Manager to help lead our store team and embody our values while optimising sales and delivering a great shopping experience. You will coach and motivate colleagues as part of the store management team and take responsibility in the store manager's absence.

You’ll be driving sales, modelling exceptional customer service, leading VM layouts, opening/closing duties and providing regular feedback to uplift performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role in Fashion or Homeware Retail.
• Confident communicator who can engage and motivate others.
• Evidence of leadership experience.
• Understanding of Visual Merchandising (VM).
• Ability to identify sales opportunities and drive ideas.
• Knowledge of operational processes and cost awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales targets and explore sales opportunities.
• Be a role model of outstanding customer service and company values.
• Lead the implementation of seasonal layouts and visual guidelines.
• Open and close the store.
