Job summary

JD Sports Fashion is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our store team. You will support the Store Manager, motivate staff, and drive sales while maintaining our high standards of service and presentation.

Your leadership will help the store reach ambitious targets and deliver an exceptional JD experience to customers. In this role you will coach teammates, manage day-to-day operations, handle till procedures, stock checks, and opening/closing tasks, ensuring a smooth and successful shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail management or supervisory role such as Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide shop floor colleagues, allocate tasks and ensure JD standards are met.
• Coach and develop teammates with real-time feedback and clear expectations.
• Maintain high presentation and operational standards, including pricing accuracy and tidy displays.
• Perform core duties such as cash handling, till checks, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
