Job summary

JD Sports is seeking an Assistant Store Manager who will help drive sales, lead the shop floor, and develop the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will work closely with the Store Manager to achieve targets, uphold standards and maintain excellent store presentation.

You will coach and motivate colleagues, interpret KPI data to guide performance, and ensure operations run smoothly with accuracy and safety on every shift.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a retail team and achieving sales targets.
• Ability to analyse KPI data to inform decisions.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and core KPIs.
• Lead and guide colleagues on the shop floor, allocating tasks and maintaining standards.
• Assist with coaching and development, providing real-time feedback and reinforcing expectations.
• Maintain high presentation and operational standards, including pricing accuracy and display upkeep.
• Carry out core operational duties such as cash handling support, till checks, deliveries, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
