Job summary

JD Sports is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager and drive commercial performance with confident leadership on the shop floor. You will motivate the team, deliver strong results, and uphold JD standards while coaching staff to excel in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will focus on achieving sales targets, maintaining premium customer experiences, and ensuring efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
• Ability to interpret KPI and sales data for decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven success driving sales and KPI achievement.
• Customer-centric with focus on premium JD experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to drive sales and KPIs.
• Lead and guide shop floor colleagues, allocate tasks and maintain JD standards.
• Provide coaching and real-time feedback to team members.
• Maintain JD’s presentation, pricing accuracy, displays and safety.
• Carry out core operational duties including cash handling and till checks.
