Job summary

JD Sports is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets while delivering the premium JD experience. You will motivate the team, drive performance, and uphold JD standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will lead by example on the shop floor, coach staff, and ensure excellent customer interactions. Strong leadership and a proven track record in retail management are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail management or supervisory role (e.g., Assistant Store Manager or Supervisor).
• Strong leadership to guide and motivate staff while upholding store priorities.
• Confident interpreting KPI and sales data to drive commercial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager with daily store operations to help achieve sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead and guide shop-floor colleagues, allocate tasks, and maintain JD standards.
• Coach and develop teammates with real-time feedback and clear expectations.
• Maintain high presentation and operational standards, including pricing accuracy and safety.
• Carry out core duties like cash handling, till checks, stock audits, and opening/closing routines.
