Job summary

Iceland Foods in Sidcup is seeking a committed Shift Manager to join our team. You will support the management team to deliver consistent results and be the best place to shop and work. You will be recruited as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour that you shift manage the store.

The role focuses on maximising profit, engaging and retaining great people, and following the One Best Way processes to deliver excellent service and leadership at every shift.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Communicates effectively with every colleague to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plans and organises the shift, using every member of the team.
• Provides balanced feedback when needed to improve the performance of every colleague.
• Sets the pace of the team, when on shift, by being hands on to deliver a great store.

Responsibilities

• Maximise profit: focus on customer availability and drive sales by selling a £1 & save a £1.
• Engage,Develop & Retain Great People: support Talking Shop Rep and team engagement; foster inclusive culture; promote personal development.
• Doing The Right Processes And Doing Them Right: complete actions from line manager; ensure best customer service; enforce cash handling and security policies; implement digital service improvements.
• Leadership: be approachable to customers, respectful to colleagues, enthusiastic teamwork, and waste reduction; show care for business and people.
