Job summary

Tesco is hiring a Shift Lead to steer store operations and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail setting. You will lead and coach the team, coordinate across departments, and step in for the Store Manager as needed.

The role offers a guaranteed minimum hours, flexible shifts, and a strong focus on service, teamwork, and community impact. Salary is hourly with progression in qualifying locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a team lead or management position in fast-paced retail.
• Strong service orientation and ability to meet customer needs.
• Clear communication and ability to inform the team.
• Natural leader who motivates the team to deliver results.

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
