Job summary

Iceland Foods is seeking a committed Shift Manager to join our Lincoln store. You will start as a Retail Assistant and receive a £2 supplement for every hour you shift manage the store, supporting the management team to deliver consistently strong results.

You will lead by example, manage shifts, ensure stock availability, and drive sales while maintaining high standards of service and security. A positive, inclusive approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a retail management or supervisory role.
• Effective communication with colleagues to deliver store tasks first time, every time.
• Plan and organise the shift using every team member.
• Provide balanced feedback to improve performance.
• Set the pace of the team on shift with hands-on leadership.

Responsibilities

• Maximise store profit by ensuring great product availability for customers.
• Lead the team to drive sales and support the “sell a £1 & save a £1” initiative.
• Complete actions set by the line manager based on daily floor walk findings.
• Engage, develop and retain staff, support the Talking Shop Rep, and foster an inclusive culture.
• Ensure cash handling, security policies and digital service standards are followed.
