About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Procurement:
    • Lead and manage the procurement of goods and services to ensure a competitive supply chain.
    • Develop and oversee procurement objectives to support business goals.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage the procurement team, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company objectives.
    • Mentor and support team development.
  • Supplier Management:
    • Select suppliers, issue inquiries, evaluate quotations, and negotiate contracts.
    • Develop strong supplier relationships for competitive pricing and service.
  • Project Support:
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to facilitate procurement processes.
    • Assist in selecting labor teams and subcontractors for projects.
    • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment.
  • Process Management:
    • Monitor supply chain compliance with internal systems and safety standards.
    • Prepare material schedules based on drawings and specifications.
    • Report on pricing, supplier performance, and delivery.

Key Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Qualification or partial qualification in CIPS, CIOB, or RICS (advantageous).
  • GCSEs or equivalent education.
  • Full UK driving license (role location not accessible by public transport).
