Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a Lidl store in Oxford at Templars Shopping Park. You will provide a highly visible security presence, deter theft, and protect customers, colleagues and store assets while delivering friendly, professional service.

The role requires a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding licence, retail security experience, strong communication, and the ability to work as part of a team across a five-day week. Training and uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have customer-focused approach and strong communication skills.
• Experience in retail security or loss prevention.
• SIA licence required (Door Supervisor or Security Guarding).
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible and professional security presence throughout the store.
• Deter theft, fraud, stock loss and anti-social behaviour.
• Conduct regular patrols of sales floor and storage areas.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies; complete accurate incident reports.
• Liaise with store management and external agencies as required.
• Monitor and report suspicious activity and maintain safety standards.
• Deliver excellent customer service and assist customers as needed.
