Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for M&S across Exeter, Plymouth, Torbay and Exmouth. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence in-store, helping keep staff and customers safe while delivering welcoming service.

Key responsibilities include loss prevention, incident response, using store technology and reporting systems, and supporting safe ways of working. A calm, professional approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible, customer-focused presence in store to deter loss and assist customers and colleagues.
