Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is hiring a Retail Security Officer for M&S Plymouth, 1 Cornwall Street, Plymouth, PL1 1DH. The role pays £13.96 per hour, with a guaranteed 40+ hours per week, and involves protecting customers, colleagues and products in a fast-paced retail environment.

You'll stay calm under pressure, deliver excellent service, and use store technology and reporting tools to manage incidents while creating a welcoming store atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm, confident and professional approach.
• Proactive mindset with ability to make quick decisions.
• Genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.

Responsibilities

• Be a visible, friendly presence in store to assist customers and colleagues.
• Help keep the store safe and secure, prevent loss and respond to incidents.
• Prepare and use store technology for reporting and incident management.
• Collaborate with team to maintain high standards and support operations.
