Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for M&S Braehead in Glasgow. You will help create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for customers and colleagues, acting as a visible store presence and supporting incident management.

The role requires calm under pressure, professional conduct and a customer-focused approach. Salary is £13.58 per hour with guaranteed 40+ hours per week, and joining bonus of £200 for external candidates after probation.

Qualifications

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important.
• A calm, confident and professional approach is required.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make quick decisions.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, welcoming and secure environment for customers and colleagues.
