Kingdom Group is recruiting a Retail Security Officer for Tesco Hemlington Express, TS8 9JH. This full-time permanent role offers 40 hours per week on a rotating schedule, with a 14:00–22:00 shift fit for Monday to Sunday.

You will provide a highly visible security presence, deter theft, patrol the store, monitor CCTV, and report incidents, while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA Licence is essential.
• Previous retail security experience is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, confident and reliable approach.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance record.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Local candidates are preferred due to shift pattern and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide a professional and highly visible security presence within the store.
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour and other security incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols of the store and surrounding areas.
• Respond to incidents professionally and per procedures.
• Deliver excellent customer service to customers and colleagues.
• Monitor CCTV systems where applicable.
• Complete accurate incident reports and documentation.
• Support store management with loss prevention initiatives.
• Maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment at all times.

Retail Security Officer

Location: Tesco Hemlington Express, TS8 9JH
Pay Rate: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Full-Time Permanent

About the Role

Kingdom Group is looking for a professional, reliable, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team at Tesco Hemlington Express, TS8 9JH.

We are seeking an experienced Security Officer who takes pride in their work, demonstrates excellent timekeeping, and can provide a highly visible security presence within the store. This role would particularly suit a local candidate who can reliably travel to site and contribute positively to the store team.

As a key member of the security team, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, colleagues, and visitors while delivering exceptional customer service.

Shift Pattern

You will work 40 hours per week on a rota covering Monday to Sunday.

Shift Time:

• 14:00 to 22:00

Working 5 to 6 days per week as required by the business.

Flexibility may be required to meet operational needs.
