Job summary

BardWood Support Services is seeking a Retail Security Officer for a well-known retail store in Widnes. The role focuses on safeguarding staff and customers while monitoring stock and static areas. You will be required to be fully flexible to align with client requirements.

On transfer to the client after 12 weeks, benefits include life cover, private medical, pension and other employee perks. SIA license renewal is funded by the company, with cycle-to-work schemes and salary advances supported.

Qualifications

• SIA license is required.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar security role is advantageous.
• Physically able to perform duties under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigate disturbances and monitor entry/exit points.
• Call for assistance in emergencies and operate security systems.
• Maintain positive relations with staff and customers.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate –13.10 PH

Location – Widnes WA8

Shift Timings – Must be fully flexible as per clients requirements

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
• Possess the ability to work under pressure.
