Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Retail Security Officer to protect people and property on the shop floor while providing excellent customer service. You’ll help deter crime, conduct regular store patrols and collaborate with store management to maintain a safe shopping environment.

Role offers flexible shifts discussed at interview and a paid lunch break, with opportunities for ongoing training and progression within Mitie’s security team.

Qualifications

• A valid SIA licence (or willingness to complete the training)
• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (essential for vetting)
• A proactive, professional and customer-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Providing a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Delivering outstanding customer service at all times
• Deterring theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carrying out regular store patrols
• Operating CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Working closely with store management teams
• Supporting partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Using Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite
