Job summary

JD Sports in Southampton is seeking a proactive supervisor to help run the shop floor smoothly and sustain high service levels for customers. You will support colleagues across shifts, ensure presentation aligns with brand standards, and assist with daily tasks under Store Management guidance.

The role emphasizes leading by example, maintaining strong product knowledge, and upholding store performance through effective till operations and opening/closing procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team-leader experience in fast-paced retail or customer-facing environments.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and support colleagues on the shop floor.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to uphold high standards in service, presentation, and store operations.
• Strong interest in retail, solid product and trend awareness, and the ability to promote company values and behaviours.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service by supporting customers, resolving queries, and ensuring team presentation meets brand expectations.
• Support sales performance by monitoring service levels, using in-store devices to offer the full product range, and assisting with effective product placement.
• Maintain strong visual and operational standards by keeping the shop floor clean, organised, and aligned with brand standards and company expectations.
• Assist with daily operational duties including opening and closing procedures, cashing up, and supporting accurate till operations.
