Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to perform overnight installations for customers across the UK. You will install, configure and commission camera hardware, ensuring proper operation and adherence to project standards.

The role requires strong technical aptitude, hands-on use of power tools, and the ability to travel to sites, with a 6‑month contract and 20 hours per week. Safety and customer satisfaction are priorities in this position.

Qualifications

• Previous field service/installation experience.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work nights and weekends and up to 9 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware (mounting, wiring, configuring) to company standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities, parts used, and time spent with company tools.
• Onboard/scanning of products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely and efficiently during installations.
• Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risks on site.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completions.
• Maintain high attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality.
