Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to perform installations across the UK. The role involves overnight work, visiting customer sites, and ensuring successful deployment and adoption of our system. You will handle camera hardware installations, safety compliance, and KPI-driven performance.

The position is a 6-month fixed-term contract, minimum 20 hours per week, with the possibility of extension. A valid UK driving licence and reliable transport are required.

Qualifications

• Proven field service experience in installation/maintenance roles.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and hardware/software issue resolution.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards.
• Ability to manage time and deadlines in a field environment.
• Good communication with supervisors, team and customers.
• Must have physical stamina for manual installation tasks.
• Able to work nights and weekends and travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Install camera hardware including mounting, connecting and configuring per standards.
• Respond promptly to installation requests and meet customer SLAs.
• Maintain records of installation activities, parts used and time spent.
• Onboard and scan products into the system.
• Operate power tools safely to complete installations.
• Follow safety protocols during installation visits.
• Collaborate with team to ensure timely completion of installations.
• Maintain high quality and attention to detail on tasks.
• Meet or exceed KPIs for speed and quality.
• Communicate progress and issues to supervisors.
