Job summary

One Stop Stores Ltd is seeking a Customer Service Assistant to join our fast-paced retail team. You will provide excellent customer service, stock shelves, process payments and help maintain the store’s appearance.

You will be central to day-to-day store operations, engaging with customers, handling transactions, and contributing to a welcoming, safe shopping environment. Flexible working and community involvement are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to stock shelves and process payments accurately.
• Willingness to contribute to store appearance and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Know customers and serve them with passion and pride.
• Encourage customers to give feedback via the Have Your Say survey.
• Work across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending and stock routines.
• Follow training to ensure we work safely.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events.
• Ensure I clock in and out at the start and end of my shift to be paid accurately for hours worked.
• Follow security procedures and wear safety equipment where available.
• Follow the Think 25 policy when serving age restricted products.
• Respond quickly to assistance calls or interventions on self-service checkouts.
• Work in a clean, tidy and organised manner; keep aisles clear of congestion.
• May run the shift in absence of Shift Leader and Store Manager.
• Follow all training to keep myself, others and the store safe and legal.
