Job summary

The Chalk, Chelsea is looking for a confident and personable Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. You'll work closely with the management team to ensure every service runs smoothly from bar to restaurant floor, hands-on, leading by example and delivering friendly, knowledgeable service to our guests.

Located just off The King’s Road, The Chalk offers a lively neighbourhood pub with great food, a welcoming atmosphere and a fantastic bar.

The Chalk, Chelsea is looking for a confident and personable Bar & Restaurant Supervisor to join our team.

Located just off The King’s Road, The Chalk is a lively neighbourhood pub with great food, a welcoming atmosphere and a fantastic bar. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a busy service, loves looking after guests and is confident supporting and leading a team.

As Bar & Restaurant Supervisor, you’ll work closely with the management team to ensure every service runs smoothly, from the bar through to the restaurant floor. You’ll be hands-on, leading by example and making sure our guests receive friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supervising the bar and restaurant team during service
• Leading by example and creating a positive, supportive team environment
• Ensuring consistently high standards of food, drink and service
• Welcoming guests and making sure they have a great experience from start to finish
• Supporting the team during busy services and helping resolve any guest queries
• Helping train, coach and develop team members
• Supporting the management team with the day-to-day running of the pub
• Taking responsibility for opening and closing procedures
• Supporting with stock control, ordering and maintaining excellent bar standards
• Ensuring health & safety, licensing and company standards are followed
• Communicating effectively with the kitchen, bar and management teams

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a busy bar, restaurant or pub environment
• Experience supervising or leading a team is preferred
• Someone confident, organised and able to take responsibility during service
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering great customer service
• Good knowledge of food and drink, with a willingness to keep learning
• Someone who remains calm and positive under pressure
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
• A team player who takes pride in their work and enjoys being hands-on
