Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn Bristol is seeking a Duty Manager to lead the Restaurant and Bar team and oversee hotel operations when senior managers are not on site.

You’ll coach, brief, and motivate the team, manage guest feedback, and ensure service excellence across all meal periods. The role requires strong leadership, a focus on safety, and collaboration with Kitchen, Reception and Housekeeping teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading Restaurant and Bar teams.
• Strong guest service orientation.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety, Licensing and Allergen rules.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the Restaurant and Bar team to deliver great guest experiences.
• Conduct shift briefings and handovers to ensure clear communication.
• Supervise daily service across meal periods and support as needed.
• Handle guest feedback, complaints and service recovery professionally.
• Assist with staffing, rosters and labour cost management for the department.
• Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety, Licensing and Allergen compliance at all times.
