Smile Education Recruitment is seeking a SEN Teacher to join a Primary Resource Base in Birmingham. You will deliver targeted lessons for pupils with complex learning needs, including ASC, working with the SENDCo and a specialist TA team. This full-time role runs 8:15am–3:30pm, term-time?

Qualifications

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have recent UK-based teaching experience.
  • Have experience supporting and teaching children with Special Educational Needs.
  • Be confident adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needs.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills.
  • Be able to work independently and use your own initiative.
  • Be available to work school hours of 8:15am – 3:30pm.
  • Provide two professional references covering the last two years, including comments on your work with children.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new DBS through Smile Education

SEN Teacher – Primary Resource Base

Birmingham B8 | September 2026 | Full-time | 8:15am–3:30pm

Experienced primary teacher with SEN experience? Join a supportive Resource Base working with pupils with complex learning needs, including ASC. You'll work closely with the SENDCo and specialist TA team to deliver highly personalised teaching and support.

The provision supports primary-aged pupils with ASC and associated communication, interaction and learning needs with space for up to 18 children.
