Job summary

Senploy is recruiting a Primary Teacher - SEN Resource Base in Birmingham Northfield to join a mainstream primary school expanding its specialist SEND provision. The role requires QTS and involves delivering individualised teaching to pupils with Autism and other needs within a dedicated resource base.

You will collaborate with the SENCO and support staff to adapt the primary curriculum, track progress against EHCP targets and promote communication, independence and engagement across learning

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Experience in SEND within primary/ SEN settings.
• Strong understanding of Autism (ASC) and communication needs.
• Ability to adapt lessons for different developmental stages.
• Experience using EHCPs to plan and assess progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individualised teaching for pupils in a specialist SEN resource base.
• Support pupils with ASC and communication needs.
• Adapt the primary curriculum to individual learning and development stages.
• Deliver small-group and one-to-one learning activities.
• Plan teaching around EHCP targets and outcomes.
• Collaborate with SENCO, TAs and external professionals to develop SEND provision.
