Job summary

Compass Community in the United Kingdom is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help children experience childhood with a supportive, non-judgemental environment. You will safeguard and assist in daily activities, supporting their health and wellbeing and their journey into adulthood.

No prior experience is required; our Skills to Care induction comprises two weeks of classroom training plus shadow shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is not essential for this role.
• Skills to Care induction includes 2 weeks of classroom training and shadow shifts.
• You will be supported to achieve your Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting health and wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, including those requiring high levels of supervision.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and food shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
