Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking Residential Support Workers to help transform the lives of children in our homes. This role welcomes experienced Residential or Youth Workers, and also those starting a career in residential care after comprehensive training via our Skills to Care induction.

You will be supported to achieve a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months, advancing to a Level 3 qualified Residential Support Worker and ongoing development at Compass.

Qualifications

• Age 22 or older to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate, and able to build positive relationships.
• Has a valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• You will help facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives and safeguarding their health and wellbeing.
• You will meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high levels of supervision and support.
• You will support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping.
• You will create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
