Job summary

Compass Community is seeking Residential Support Workers to help children in care. The role suits experienced residential or youth workers, or newcomers, with training provided to start a meaningful career in residential care.

You will support children in activities, health and wellbeing, safeguarding, and team tasks; the role includes paperwork and timetable creation, with a starting salary of £27,976 plus sleep-in allowance and long-term progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Age 22 or over to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children's activities and appointments, support health and wellbeing and safeguarding.
• Meet a variety of children and young people with supervision.
• Support wider team with domestic tasks (cleaning, cooking, shopping).
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
