Job summary

Compass Community is hiring a Residential Support Worker to help children thrive in a supportive home environment. Roles involve facilitating activities, safeguarding, and building trusting relationships with young people in a regulated setting.

No prior experience required; two-week Skills to Care induction and a pathway to Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare will be provided, advancing your career within Compass.

Qualifications

• 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives and safeguarding their health and wellbeing.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, some requiring high levels of supervision.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and food shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
