Job summary

Compass Community is seeking a Residential Support Worker to join our homes and help transform children’s lives through our therapeutic, caring approach. You’ll be supported to complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months, advancing your career while contributing to a stable, nurturing environment.

You will assist with activities, health and wellbeing, safeguarding, and daily tasks, including reporting and timetable management.

Qualifications

• Is 22 years of age or above (to meet Ofsted regulations).
• Is caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with others.
• Has a valid manual driving licence.
• Has the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• You will help facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting them in all aspects of their lives. You will ensure their health and wellbeing, safeguarding them at all times.
• You will meet a variety of children and young people, some of whom may require high levels of supervision and support.
• You will support the wider team with a range of domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and food shopping.
• You will create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
