Job summary

Compass Community is seeking experienced or aspiring Residential Support Workers to transform lives in a children’s home. You’ll support health, wellbeing, and daily routines while building lasting relationships with young people.

Training includes two weeks of classroom-based induction plus a week of shadow shifts and ongoing development to achieve Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. Starting salary £27,518 with £50 sleep-in on top.

Qualifications

• 22+ years of age or over to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, support health and wellbeing, safeguard at all times.
• Meet a variety of children and young people requiring supervision and support.
• Assist the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
