Job summary

Compass Community is seeking a Residential Support Worker to help children live healthier, more confident lives. You will support daily activities, health and safeguarding, and partner with the team to create structure and write reports.

No prior experience is required; full training is provided, including Skills to Care induction and a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months. A driving licence is required, and Ofsted rules apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 22 years or older to meet Ofsted regulations.
• Caring, compassionate and able to build positive relationships.
• Valid manual driving licence required.
• Ability to stay calm in challenging situations.
• Experience not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, supporting health and wellbeing and safeguarding at all times.
• Meet a variety of children and young people, including those requiring high levels of supervision.
• Support the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
