As a Residential Support Worker in our Children’s Services, you will help children lead fulfilling lives by providing high‑quality care, support, and guidance. You’ll implement individualised care plans, support development and education goals, and safeguard their wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion for working with children and young people.
• Experience in residential care or children’s services is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships.
• Driving licence is essential.
• Comfort using electronic care recording systems.

Responsibilities

• Support children with daily living activities, including personal care, education, and recreation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and provide emotional and practical support.
• Develop and maintain trusting relationships with children and young people.
• Implement care plans and meet individual needs.
• Safeguard children and report concerns promptly.
• Support development of life skills, such as communication and independence.
• Provide a safe, structured environment to foster growth.
• Assist with preparation and participation in reviews of progress.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
