Job summary

The Cambian Group Plc is seeking dedicated Residential Support Workers to help children and young people lead fulfilling lives in our Children’s Services. You will provide high‑quality care, support and guidance, ensuring wellbeing and safety while implementing individualised care plans with a professional team.

You will assist with daily living activities, education, and recreation, while promoting positive behaviour and developing life skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and sleep‑in shifts.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with daily living activities, including personal care, education and recreation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and provide emotional and practical support to build self‑esteem.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with children and young people, ensuring consistency and stability.
• Implement care plans and ensure children's needs are met according to individual requirements.
• Safeguard and protect children; report concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Support children in developing life skills such as communication, socialisation and independence.
• Provide a safe, welcoming environment that encourages growth and development.
• Assist with preparation and participation in reviews and document progress.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
