Job summary

The Cambian Group is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to join our Children’s Services. You will provide high-quality care, support, and guidance to children and young people, helping them stay safe, engaged, and supported in daily activities, education, and recreation.

Working with a professional team, you’ll implement individual care plans, document progress, participate in reviews, and uphold safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for working with children and young people, commitment to high-quality care.
• Experience in residential care or children’s services is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with daily living activities, including personal care, education, and recreation.
• Encourage and promote positive behaviour, offering emotional and practical support to build self-esteem and confidence.
• Develop and maintain trusting, professional relationships with children and young people, providing consistency and stability.
• Implement care plans and ensure children’s needs are met in line with individual requirements.
• Safeguard and protect children, reporting concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
• Support children in developing life skills, such as communication, socialisation, and independence.
• Provide a safe, welcoming, and structured environment that encourages growth and development.
• Assist with preparation and participation in regular reviews, contributing to individual progress and goals.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory and organisational standards.
