Job summary

Aspris is seeking a Residential Support Worker to support up to 5 young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The role is based in a rural home near Southampton, offering meaningful daily activities and opportunities to build independence.

All candidates must have a full UK driving licence. We provide continuous CPD and development opportunities, plus a clear progression pathway within a growing organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Taking young people to see their friends and trips to the cinema
  • Partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas
  • Teaching the young people to cook and encouraging independence
  • Building strong relationships with the young people and staff
  • Delivering nurturing environments and supporting learning and development

Job description

West View provides care for up to 5 young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. We have worked with children and young people with Learning Disabilities, Attachment Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome and other associated autistic spectrum disorders as well as young people experiencing difficulties with mental health, troubled family relationships or conduct. The home is situated in a rural area on the outskirts of Southampton City, enabling young people to have great links to amazing places such as the buzzing city centre, the New Forest, the Isle of Wight and London. All candidates must have a full UK driving licence. At Aspris, we want every young person to feel understood, supported, and ready to take on the world. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! Taking young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teaching the young people to cook, encouraging them to be independent and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.
