Job summary

Hcb Solicitors in the East Midlands seeks a conveyancing solicitor to manage cases from instruction through post-completion. You will handle remortgages, equity releases, and transfer of equity, including matrimonial transfers, while ensuring titles on Freehold and Leasehold properties meet standards.

The role includes mentoring conveyancing assistants, developing local client relationships, and cross-referring to other departments where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Experience handling all conveyancing matters from instruction to post completion.
• Ability to manage remortgage and equity release transactions.
• Experience checking titles of freehold and leasehold properties.
• Experience transferring equity and matrimonial transfers.
• Ability to provide training to conveyancing assistants.
• Develop local client contacts and refer to other departments when appropriate.

Job description

6. To provide suitable support and training to the department’s conveyancing assistants

7. To develop client contacts in the local area

8. To cross refer clients to other departments where appropriate.

Requirements

To provide cover for other offices in the Firm when requested.

To maintain good working relations with and behave politely and courteously to the partners and all members of staff.

To comply with all performance standards and work practices outlined in this job description, the office policies and procedures, minutes of department meetings and as requested from time to time.

To deal with the work and exercise a high level of competence, skill, care and management as is to be expected of a professional person.
