Job summary

HCB Solicitors is seeking a conveyancing professional to manage matters from instruction through post-completion, including sales, purchases, remortgages and equity releases. The role involves title checks, equity transfers, and supporting junior staff.

You will develop local client relationships and coordinate referrals across departments, with hybrid working after a 3-month probation, and opportunities for training and involvement in multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Handle conveyancing matters from initial instruction to post completion
• Manage residential sales & purchases
• Handle remortgage and equity release transactions
• Check titles of freehold and leasehold properties
• Deal with transfer of equity and matrimonial transfers
• Provide support and training to conveyancing assistants
• Develop client contacts in the local area
• Cross refer clients to other departments where appropriate
• Provide cover for other offices in the Firm when requested

Job description

• 1. To handle all conveyancing matters from the initial instruction to post completion. This will include:

• 6. To provide suitable support and training to the department’s conveyancing assistants


• 7. To develop client contacts in the local area


• 8. To cross refer clients to other departments where appropriate.


• To provide cover for other offices in the Firm when requested.


• To maintain good working relations with and behave politely and courteously to the partners and all members of staff.


• To comply with all performance standards and work practices outlined in this job description, the office policies and procedures, minutes of department meetings and as requested from time to time.


• To deal with the work and exercise a high level of competence, skill, care and management as is to be expected of a professional person.
