Job summary

A national training provider in the UK seeks a Residential Childcare Development Coach to deliver and facilitate training for apprentices in a supportive environment. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of learners and helping them achieve their qualifications. Ideal candidates should have managerial experience in a residential setting and qualifications in childcare. The position offers competitive salary and benefits. This role is hybrid with occasional travel to Newcastle.

Qualifications

  • Do you have managerial experience in a residential home for children and young people?
  • Hold a minimum qualification of Level 5 in Residential Childcare/CYP.
  • Hold GCSE grade C/4 or above in Maths & English or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of managerial/team-leader experience in a residential home.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a caseload of learners through their apprenticeship.
  • Provide feedback on evidence produced by learners.
  • Support learners in achieving functional skills level 2.
  • Identify and support learners with additional learning needs.

Skills

Managerial experience in residential home
Qualifications in Residential Childcare/CYP Level 5
GCSE in Maths & English
Experience in leadership or Level 5 in Leadership & Management
Assessing qualification (CAVA/D23/A1)
Teaching qualification (PTLLS, AET)

Education

Level 5 in Residential Childcare/CYP
GCSEs in Maths and English
