Job summary

Social Housing Contractor in Rochdale seeks a Tenant Liaison Officer for a circa 6-month kitchen replacement scheme. You will engage tenants, explain works, and coordinate with housing associations to ensure smooth delivery.

Required: at least 2 years' experience as a Resident Liaison Officer in social housing, full driving licence with own transport, and CSCS card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pre-entry visits and inductions.
• Collect tenancy agreements/approval forms.

• Contact neighbourhood housing associations and build relationships.
• Visit refurbished empty homes with potential tenants and explain completion dates.
• Attend and chair tenant forum meetings to update on works.
• Monitor customer complaints and work to resolve issues.

Job description

Are you a Tenant Liaison Officer looking for a new challenge? We have a position available with a Social Housing Contractor who focus on quality of service and customer care and have great staff retention rates.

My client are a well-established Social Housing Contractor, who have an excellent reputation and strong pipeline of work. They are currently recruiting for a Tenant Liaison Officer to join them on a temporary basis (approximately 6 months) on a kitchen replacement scheme in Rochdale. This will start in September and will run till approximately March 2027.

The successful candidate will have at least 2 years' experience as a Resident Liaison Officer working for a Social Housing Contractor.

Duties include:

• Pre entry visits and company inductions
• Collect tenancy agreement/approval forms
• Visiting tenants in their homes and to advise them on when and what work is being carried out
• Act as the main point of contact and deal with any problems/queries that tenant may have
• Contacting neighbourhood housing associations and establishing working relations with them
• Visiting empty houses that are being refurbished with potential tenants and advising them on completion dates
• Attending and chairing tenant forum meetings to advise tenants of works being carried out
• Monitor customer complaints and resolve any potential issues
• Monitor customer satisfaction

You must also have a full driving licence along with your own transport and ideally hold a current CSCS Card.

The hourly rate is £17ph paid via an umbrella company.
