Job summary

FirstPort Limited is seeking a Visiting Development Manager for 13 hours per week at our England-based development. The role focuses on resident safety, contractor supervision and daily building checks, with a view to enhancing the community experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or a passion for delivering excellent user experience.
• Strong communication skills to resolve issues effectively.
• Understanding of health and safety and ability to manage emergencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and adaptability to new systems.
• Organised and methodical with good record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development/office and check residents are within requirements.
• Carry out daily checks to ensure the building is safe and secure; manage data and contractors; keep communal areas tidy.
• Oversee works: raise orders, manage contractors, monitor progress, sign off completions.
• Encourage and support formation of a Residents Association to improve resident experience and community events.
• Build links with residents, families, local authorities and health/social care contacts as needed.
• In emergencies, contact the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Assist with sales listings with Retirement Homesearch and help new residents settle in.
• Collaborate with a local peer team of Development Managers and attend meetings.
