Job summary

FirstPort Limited is seeking a Visiting Development Manager to support our residents across Folkestone. This part-time role (12 hours per week) focuses on safe, well-managed developments and proactive resident engagement.

You will inspect daily operations, coordinate contractors, raise orders, support a Residents Association, help newcomers settle in, and work with the local team to enhance the community experience while maintaining data protection and high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Customer service excellence in face-to-face environments.
• Strong communication to resolve issues effectively.
• IT skills with MS Office and ability to learn new systems.
• Organised administration with accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development / office, ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• Carry out daily checks ensuring the building is safe and secure, maintain records and data protection; manage contractors.
• Be responsible for all works including raising orders, monitoring progress and signing off completion.
• Encourage and support Residents Association, helping build a community through social events.
• Build links with residents' families, local authorities, doctors and social workers as required.
• In case of emergency, contact the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Assist with sales listed with Retirement Homesearch and welcome new residents.
• Travel to team/company meetings on a monthly/annual basis and seek day-to-day support.
