Job summary

FirstPort Limited is seeking a Visiting Development Manager to oversee a residential development and support residents in daily operations. The role combines on-site management with coordinating contractors, safety checks, and data records to ensure a secure, welcoming environment.

The successful candidate will excel in customer service, communication, and administration, and work closely with a local team and partner Retirement Homesearch to assist new residents and community events.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering high levels of customer service, ideally face-to-face.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to resolve issues and complaints.
• Understanding of health & safety and handling emergency situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and aptitude to learn new systems.
• Organised, methodical and able to maintain accurate records.
• Outgoing, proactive and team-oriented personality.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development/office and ensure residents are checked within requirements.
• Perform daily safety checks, maintain records, protect data and keep communal areas clean and maintained with contractor oversight.
• Manage works by raising orders, supervising contractors, monitoring progress and signing off completion.
• Support formation of Residents Association and plan social events to enhance community experience.
• Build links with residents' families, local authorities, doctors and health workers as required.
