Job summary

FirstPort Limited is seeking a Visiting Development Manager to oversee safety, compliance and day-to-day management of developments. You will engage with residents and contractors, ensuring high service standards and proactive issue resolution on-site.

Role involves coordinating with local peers, maintaining records, and supporting housing-related activities. This position is based in Colchester, with travel to nearby developments as required and a 35-hour week.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development/office and check residents per requirements.
• Carry out daily checks to ensure the building is safe and secure; maintain records and protect data.
• Manage works: raise orders, supervise contractors, monitor progress and sign off completion.
• Encourage and support Residents Associations; enhance customer experience and run social events.
• Liaise with residents' families, local authorities and health/social services as required.
• In emergencies, contact the appropriate response team or authorities.
• Support Sales activities with Retirement Homesearch and welcome new residents.
• Collaborate with local Development Managers and travel to team/company meetings as needed.
