Job summary

Sandwell Council is seeking a dedicated Resident Engagement Officer to join the Asset Management & Improvement Team. You will work with tenants, leaseholders, residents and community groups to ensure residents have a say in shaping services and decisions across housing stock.

• Essential: understanding housing management, building safety, compliance or asset management.

• Essential: experience organising engagement events and consultations.
• Essential: proficient in MS Office and presenting information via reports/presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver resident engagement and consultation activities to encourage participation.
• Build and maintain relationships with tenants, leaseholders, residents, community groups and partner agencies.
• Promote building safety, compliance and asset management awareness.
• Support residents to influence service improvements through engagement opportunities.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, events, workshops, focus groups and community initiatives.
• Gather, analyse and present resident feedback to support service development.
• Develop communications using digital platforms, social media, newsletters and other channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve outcomes for residents.
• Maintain accurate records and produce reports on engagement activity and outcomes.
