Job summary

FirstPort Limited is seeking a Visiting Development Manager to oversee daily operations at a Saltdean development. This role focuses on resident safety, community engagement and contractor supervision, with a strong emphasis on customer service.

Based in Saltdean, East Sussex, the role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with salary of £20,982 per annum plus benefits. The position involves coordination with a wider development team and handling on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Customer service focus with face-to-face experience.
• Strong communication and issue-resolution skills.
• Understanding of health & safety practices in property settings.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quick learner of new systems.
• Organised and able to maintain accurate records.
• Outgoing personality, team oriented, proactive and professional.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high profile around the development and office; check residents per requirements.
• Conduct daily safety checks; keep records; protect data; maintain communal areas and grounds.
• Oversee works: raise orders, manage contractors, monitor progress, sign off completion.
• Encourage Residents Association; work with social committee to plan events and improve resident experience.
• Build links with residents' families, local authorities, doctors and social care staff as needed.
• In emergencies, contact the appropriate response teams or authorities.
• Assist with sales listings with Retirement Homesearch; welcome new residents and help them settle in.
• Coordinate with the local Development Managers team and travel to meetings as required.
