Job summary

The Methodist Church in Britain is seeking an Accommodation Support Worker for Resettle North East, a Ministry of Justice-funded service. The role blends community work with custodial settings and requires a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, plus vetting and prison clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering one-to-one and group sessions.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Vetting and prison clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Work with people in custody and in the community on housing stability and resettlement.
• Manage own caseload and develop support plans to help people find and keep a home.
• Advise on housing, tenancy responsibilities and independent living.
• Coordinate with prisons, probation and local authorities to plan releases and secure suitable accommodation.
• Run one-to-one and group sessions to build life skills and confidence.
• Keep accurate digital records and meet Ministry of Justice KPIs.
