Thirteen Group is recruiting a Housing Support Co-ordinator (Criminal Justice) on a fixed-term contract across the Tees Valley. The role supports people leaving custody to secure housing, rebuild independence and move forward with their lives.

Work blends community and custodial settings, with some opportunities to work from home. The role is part of Resettle North East, funded by the Ministry of Justice, with a salary of £35,005 per annum and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• You’ll need strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Experience or knowledge of the criminal justice system and housing options is advantageous.
• Ability to stay calm and support people with complex needs in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Work with individuals in custody and in the community to address housing instability, resettlement and homelessness.
• Manage your caseload and develop clear, practical support plans to secure accommodation.
• Provide advice on housing, tenancy responsibilities and independent living.
• Assess needs, identify risks and safeguarding concerns, and connect clients with appropriate specialist support.
• Collaborate with prisons, probation services, local authorities and partner agencies to plan releases and secure suitable housing.
• Run one-to-one sessions and group activities to build life skills and confidence.
• Keep accurate digital records and meet Ministry of Justice KPIs.
